Description: Auxiliary Lieutenant Kromer was struck and killed by a hit-and run driver on I-94 while assisting a disabled motorist. A passing car sideswiped the stalled vehicle and struck Lieutenant Kromer, who was standing next to the car. Lieutenant Kromer was transported to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries the following morning. The driver of the vehicle that struck Lieutenant Kromer fled the scene but was later apprehended.
