Description: Patrolman Kelliher and Officer William Derrig went to a hotel to follow up on a narcotics investigation. They were about to search one of the suspects when they were fired upon. Patrolman Kelliher was struck and died at the scene. Officer Derrig was struck also but returned fire. One suspect was arrested.
