Description: Sheriff Keller was fatally wounded by an intoxicated man who was firing a .22 caliber handgun in the streets. Sheriff Keller approached the man and ordered him to put his hands up. The man responded by shooting Sheriff Keller in the abdomen. Sheriff Keller returned fire, killing his assailant. Sheriff Keller died of his injuries nine days later.
