Description: Officer Kelliher was asked by a train conductor to take man into custody who had been harassing other passengers. As Officer Kelliher proceeded to the callbox with the suspect in hand, he was attacked by the gang of "toughs" who had been traveling with the disorderly man. Officer Kelliher was savagely kicked and beaten. Although he received medical care, Officer Kelliher succumbed four months later to internal injuries.
