Description: On December 28, 1928, Patrolman Kavanagh was in pursuit of a speeding motorist when his motorcycle skidded into a curb and crashed. Patrolman Kavanagh suffered a skull fracture and was unconscious for 18 days. Patrolman Kavanagh returned to work but suffered from frequent seizures. He underwent surgery two years later for seizures and died while at the hospital on December 18, 1930.
