Description: Officer Kunkle was on patrol and attempting to catch a motorist. Another vehicle pulled out from a side street and partially into oncoming traffic. Officer Kunkle swerved as he tried to avoid the vehicle and lost control of his motorcycle. He was and was thrown to the pavement and struck his head. Officer Kunkle died from his injuries one hour later.
