Description: Constables Kennedy and John Bodenheimer stopped a motorist on US-29 for driving erratically. Constable Kennedy was standing beside the car when another car struck him, then the patrol car. Constable Kennedy was killed instantly. Constable Bodenheimer died three days later of a fractured skull. The driver was charged with manslaughter.
