Description: On December 21, 2005, Corporal Krauss was escorting a funeral procession on his department motorcycle, with emergency equipment activated, when he was struck by a drunken driver. Corporal Krauss was thrown several feet and suffered severe head injuries. Corporal Krauss was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death on September 1, 2006.
