Description: Constable Kelly and Deputy Sheriff Jacob Helbert were shot as they attempted to serve a writ of habeas corpus to four men. Constable Kelly and Deputy Helbert were shot as they entered the residence and died of their injuries. The suspect fled the scene but surrendered shortly after. The other three men were also arrested.
