Description: Deputy Koester was shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance call. When Deputy Koester arrived first on the scene, the suspect opened the door and fatally shot Deputy Koester. Two back-up deputies arrived and witnessed Deputy Koester's murder. The suspect then charged out the front door and shot both deputies arriving at the scene. Deputy Bill Crotty and Deputy Thomas McKane received non-life threatening injuries.
