Description: Chief Lucas was shot and killed after a traffic pursuit in the Weir Community of French Camp, Mississippi. Chief Lucas joined the Choctaw County deputies in pursuit of a car that fled during a traffic stop. The suspect?s car stopped in front of a residence and the three juveniles fled inside. As Chief Lucas exited his patrol unit a male suspect opened the front door of the residence and shot him several times.
