Description: Parole Officer Libertone was on duty making a routine home visit to a parolee when he was involved a freak automobile accident. The tire from an approaching truck broke free, bounced over the guardrail and landed on the roof of Officer Libertone's car. Officer Libertone suffered massive head injuries and died shortly after. The driver was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving out of class and driving an uninspected and uninsured vehicle.
