Description: Sheriff Lee was killed in an auto accident while responding to a domestic disturbance call with firearms. Sheriff Lee had responded to the same location twice that evening where two people were transported to a local hospital with gun shot wounds. When the third call came from the same location, Sheriff Lee responded once again under wet slick and foggy weather conditions. While responding, Sheriff Lee's patrol car left the roadway, struck an electrical pole and several pine trees. Sheriff Lee was trapped inside as his patrol vehicle became engulfed in flames. Sheriff Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
