Description: Deputy Litz and fellow deputies conducted a well-being check on an elderly citizen. A local man was worried about his 74 year-old father whom he had not heard from in two days. When Deputy Litz arrived at the residence he found the suspect talking erratically and very argumentative. The suspect produced a gun and shot Deputy Litz several times, including a fatal shot to his head. The suspect was also shot and killed in this incident.
