Description: Deputy Lee was beaten to death after responding to a domestic disturbance call in La Quinta. The suspect's parents reported that their son was emotionally disturbed and attempting to break into their home. While attempting to arrest the suspect, Deputy Lee was beaten with a baton by the suspect and suffered severe head injuries. Deputy Lee was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was shot and killed by back-up officers.
