Description: Special Agent Lorek and Special Agent Stephen Shaw were killed after falling from a helicopter during a training exercise off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The agents were participating in a maritime counter-terrorism training exercise. During the exercise, the agents were fast-roping from a helicopter to the deck of a ship when the helicopter encountered in-flight difficulties. Both agents were thrown from the rope into the water from a height of 150 feet and died instantly.
