Description: Police Officer Lewis was shot and killed, while off-duty, as he took police action during a robbery at a local grocery store. Two armed masked suspects entered the grocery store and announced a robbery. Officer Lewis identified himself as an officer and took action. Officer Lewis was shot several times by the suspects in an exchange of gunfire. The suspects stole Officer Lewis' service weapon and badge and fled the scene. Officer Lewis was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. The suspects were apprehended and charged with murder.
