Description: Sergeant Littrell and Officer Blessing were investigating bootleggers. The investigation lead to the arrest of two men and one female for being drunk and disorderly. Another suspect arrived on the scene and shot Sergeant Littrell in the back and shot Officer Blessing three times. Sergeant Littrell died instantly and Officer Blessing recovered from his injuries.
