Description: Deputy Sheriff Livengood was shot when he responded to a silent alarm at a store. Deputy Livengood was searching the premises with K9 Sarge when he was fatally shot multiple times by the suspects. K9 Sarge was attacked with a sword and sustained fatal injuries. Two suspects were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
