Description: Guard Lott was attacked and overpowered by an inmate who was attempting to escape the Ramsey State Farm facility in Angleton. The inmate gained control of the weapon and shot Guard Lott three times with his own gun. Guard Lott died at the scene. The inmate escaped on Guard Lott's horse, but was captured the next day and charged with murder.
