Description: On September 19, 1935, Patrolman Lisiecki was escorting a funeral procession when an automobile crashed into his motorcycle. Patrolman Lisiecki was thrown from his motorcycle to the pavement. Four months later, Patrolman Lisiecki died at the hospital from complications that set in due to the accident. The death certificate indicates the cause of death as ?thrown from motorcycle when struck by automobile? and gives the contributing causes as a fractured skull and pneumococcous meningitis (inflammation or infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord).
