Description: Patrolman Leach was shot and killed while off duty. Patrolman Leach and a fellow officer were in a local saloon when a argument developed. Patrolman Leach was shot and killed by his fellow officer who was found guilty of murder. The suspect officer was pardoned by the Governor of Illinois and released from jail six months later.
