Description: Inspector Lamberth was sent to investigate a complaint between a Rural Postal Carrier in Gibson, Tennessee, and the Stantonville, Tennessee Postal Office. The suspect greeted Inspector Lamberth with a hand shake and invitied him into his home. While talking to the suspect, the suspect shot inspector Lamberth in the head, neck, and abdomen. Inspector Lamberth gave his dying declaration that postal carrier John Gibson had shot him.
