Description: Chief Lacy was shot with his own gun by a prisoner whom he had just arrested for driving under the influence. The suspect was sitting in the back seat of Chief Lacy's patrol unit when the suspect found Chief Lacy's spare weapon under the console and shot Chief Lacey in the back of his head. Chief Lacy was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
