Description: Patrolman Lentz responded to a disturbance call in East Hamilton County where an intoxicated citizen was causing a disturbance. While talking to the suspect, the suspect grabbed a rifle and shot Patrolman Lentz at point-blank range. Patrolman Lentz was transported to a local hospital with serve injuries to his lungs and left kidney. He remained in the hospital and died of kidney failure two weeks later.
