Description: Deputy Sheriffs London and Lynn McKnight were struck by an intoxicated motorist as they stood on the shoulder of Boulder highway. The deputies were assisting a stranded driver when they were struck by the speeding vehicle. Deputy London landed 90 feet from the point of impact and died at the scene. Deputy McKnight was injured but survived. The motorist and passenger, both intoxicated, were arrested.
