Description: Constable Long was driving on Hwy 19 when he was involved in a head-on collision with a grocery truck. Constable Long suffered laceration of the jugular and died before reaching the hospital. The driver of the first truck had pulled out to avoid a collision but the second truck, who was following behind, was unable to swerve and collided with Constable Long's vehicle. The incident was ruled accidental by the Justice of the Peace and no one was arrested.
