Description: Inspector Lambert and Deputy Umbaugh went to a rural area to investigate a tip regarding moonshine activity. The lawmen spotted several men standing next to a still and ordered them not to flee. The suspects ran, firing shots at both lawmen. Inspector Lambert was shot twice and died at the scene. Inspector Lambert's assailant was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
