Description: Corporal Lord was seriously injured when the vehicle he was operating crashed into a traffic island on the Bronx River Parkway. There were no witnesses to the accident. Corporal Lord died shortly thereafter of a fractured skull. Corporal Lord was returning to SP Hawthorne upon completion of his tour of traffic duty.
