Description: Sheriff Lammy was shot and killed by two suspects wanted for the murders of Undersheriff Milton Coleman and his brother Deputy Charles Coleman. The suspects were reportedly hiding in a wooded area. Sheriff Lammy and a posse went to investigate and were shot at as they arrived at the scene. Sheriff Lammy was shot in the head and died at the scene.
