Description: Trooper Longobardo succumbed to injuries he sustained two days earlier when he and another trooper were ambushed while searching for an escaped convict. Two months prior, the suspect had shot another State Trooper during a routine traffic stop and fled. Trooper Longobardo and a fellow Trooper were conducting surveillance on a home of a relative of the escapee when they were ambushed.
