Description: On January 3, 2015, Deputy Larnerd was responding to a domestic assault in progress call when he lost control of his cruiser and struck a tree in a single vehicle crash. Deputy Larnerd was trapped inside the vehicle for over two hours before emergency personnel could extricate him from the vehicle. Deputy Larnerd was transported to the hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries over the next 18 months. Deputy Larnerd died from complications stemming from the initial vehicle crash on June 15, 2016.
