Description: Constable Leib was shot when he answered a call for assistance by a woman who had been assaulted by her landlord and had filed a complaint. As Constable descended the stairs, the landlord fired and fatally shot Constable Leib. The landlord was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
