Description: Chief of Police Little and DeKalb Deputy Sheriff George Scott were fatally shot as they attempted to arrest a family of moonshiners. Sheriff Andy Chitwood was also wounded in an exchange of gunfire with the fleeing suspects but survived. Three suspects were captured by a posse and charged with murder.
