Description: Detectives Liu and Rafael Ramos were ambushed and shot as they sat in their patrol vehicle. Both Detectives were transported to the hospital where they died. The suspect committed suicide. This incident occurred during a wave of strong anti-law enforcement sentiment in many parts of the country.
