Description: Police Officer Lovern was accidentally shot when his service revolver fell to the ground and discharged. Officer Lovern was on patrol when he stopped to adjust his belt. Officer Lovern removed the belt and placed the pistol on a display case. The pistol fell from the case and discharged, striking Officer Lovern in the head. Officer Lovern died a few hours later.
