Description: Sergeant Lunger was shot and killed while making a traffic stop. Sergeant Lunger and another officer initiated a traffic stop regarding a motorist driving erratically. As Sergeant Lunger approached the driver's side window, the driver opened fire, striking Sergeant Lunger several times. The second officer returned fire and the suspect fled the scene. Sergeant Lunger was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. The suspect checked himself into a hospital suffering from a gun shot wound. He was arrested and charged with murder.
