Description: Deputy Lemus responded to a domestic disturbance call and was bitten by a suspect later confirmed to be infected with the Hepatitis C virus. Deputy Lemus contracted the disease and was diagnosed with the late stages of the disease in December 2004. Deputy Lemus died from the Hepatitis C virus six months later.
