Description: On May 25, 2007, Police Officer Lovejoy responded to a burglary call in the pre-school at a housing complex. Officer Lovejoy found evidence of a break-in and proceeded to search the building. After searching the building alone, Officer Lovejoy determined the suspect(s) had left the scene and completed his shift. The next morning, Officer Lovejoy was found unresponsive at his home. Officer Lovejoy was transported to the hospital where he lapsed into a coma and died one month later on June 22, 2007.
