Description: Deputy Larson was killed in an automobile accident caused by a driver who had crashed his vehicle on Highway 204 and abandoned it. While responding to back-up fellow officers at another accident, Deputy Larson was fatally injured when his patrol vehicle struck the abandoned vehicle then crashed into several trees. The driver was charged with DUI, possession of illegal drugs and first degree vehicular homicide.
