Description: Officer Lyles was killed while responding to a domestic dispute call. The male subject had a .22 pistol hidden in his crotch and shot Officer Lyles twice through the back of the driver's seat. Officer Lyles exited the cruiser and the subject shot through the rear passenger window (from inside the cruiser) hitting Officer Lyles in the head.
