Description: Officer Longfellow was escorting a man to jail for disturbing the peace when the man pulled a handgun from his vest and shot Officer Longfellow three times in the chest. Officer Longfellow died of his injuries three days later. The suspect was found guilty of murder and hung from the gallows.
