Description: Struck by vehicle (officer was outside of vehicle when struck). Policewoman Lanham had just escorted three children across a busy intersection when she was struck by a truck. Witnesses said her body was thrown nearly 80 feet before landing on her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
