Description: Staff Sergeant Lambert entered the cell of an uncooperative prisoner to restrain him. The prisoner produced a concealed knife and stabbed Sergeant Lambert in the thigh, severing an artery. Sergeant Lambert bled to death. Sergeant Lambert was assigned to the booking area of the Cumberland County Law Enforcement Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina to process military prisoners.
