Description: Petty Officer Lin drowned during a training exercise on the James River in Virginia. Petty Officer Lin fell from a ladder and into the water while transferring from one boat to another. His body was recovered the following evening after an intensive search by the Coast Guard, local police, and rescue dive teams.
