Description: Sergeant Laux died in an automobile crash when the Police Emergency Squad truck swerved to avoid a collision with a car while responding to a call regarding a minor vehicle crash. The open squad truck overturned and Sergeant Laux was pinned underneath. Sergeant Laux was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other officers survived their injuries. The motorist driving the other car was charged with death by reckless driving.
