Description: Trooper Larkins was struck and killed while processing a traffic stop on the Interstate 40. While standing next his patrol unit, a speeding 18-wheeler veered into the emergency lane and struck Trooper Larkins' patrol unit. The patrol unit then struck Trooper Larkins, killing him instantly.
