Description: Chief LeMaster accompanied the County District Attorney and Madison County Sheriff's deputies to a home on Cathedral Caverns Highway, looking for a juvenile and a stolen gun. As law enforcement entered the home, shots were fired. Chief LeMaster was shot in the face during the exchange of gunfire. Chief LeMaster was transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
