Description: Lieutenant Lucarini was mistakenly shot in the head by a citizen posse as he pursued robbery suspects who had killed Patrolman Polk Caraway and Special Officer Howard Gamble during a robbery earlier that day. The posse thought the car Lieutenant Lucarini was riding in belonged to the robbers. Lieutenant Lucarini was transported to the hospital where he died. (Friendly fire)
