Description: Officer Lucas and Chief Meyer went to a residence at the request of the owner to arrest his son who was drunk and disorderly. As the lawmen entered the yard, the suspect opened fire striking both men in the head. Officer Lucas died two days later. Chief Meyer died in the hospital of his injuries two weeks later. The suspect was found guilty of murder and died in prison.
